We are delighted to welcome special guest Luca Calvani to our Taste of Tuscany evening at Lizzie’s Cucina.
Born in Tuscany, Luca has enjoyed an international acting career spanning film and television in both Europe and the United States. Many will recognise him from Sex and the City, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The International and Italian television and film, where his warmth, charisma and unmistakable Tuscan spirit have made him a much loved figure.
Beyond acting, Luca has a deep love for Tuscany, food and craftsmanship. Together with his partner Alessandro, he created their beautiful Tuscan estate and lifestyle brand, where they produce the exquisite Helichrysum Tuscan Gin.
Inspired by the scent of the Tuscan countryside after a warm day in the sun, the gin is made using helichrysum, a wild Mediterranean flower known for its distinctive fragrance. For Luca, the gin is more than a drink. It is a way of capturing memories, landscape and the soul of Tuscany in a glass.

Lizzie’s Cucina invites guests to an intimate and thoughtfully curated fine dining experience, On the Routes of Baccalà, where London meets the culinary heritage of Venezia. Taking place on Wednesday 6 May 2026 at 7pm, the evening centres around the rich tradition of baccalà, exploring its history and flavour through a refined menu inspired by Venetian cuisine. The experience is designed as more than just a meal, offering a journey into the culture and storytelling behind this iconic dish. The evening will feature special guest Franco Favaretto of the Dogale Confraternita del Baccalà Mantecato, working alongside Chef Carmelo Carnevale both in the kitchen and in conversation with guests. Each course will be complemented by carefully selected wines from distinctive vineyards, enhancing the depth and character of the menu. Priced at £65 per person, this unique event brings together tradition, expertise, and authentic Italian flavours in the warm setting of Lizzie’s Cucina.
